Biography - Maria Sheil Maria

Maria Sheil studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin and at the University of Limerick where she studied a Masters Degree in Community Music. With over twenty five years music teaching experience, Maria embarked on a long time ambition to start a music school for young children in her locality - Julianstown, Co. Meath. Little Music Makers was founded in Autumn 2006. Since 2006 Little Music Makers has continued to develop in a number of ways, particularly in the area of community music. The Julianstown Youth Orchestra has performed in collaborations with the RTE Concert Orchestra and the RTE Symphony Orchestra.
